Pay2Surf.net is a scam.

Pay2Surf.net is a scam. I registered on that site 5 months ago. Signed up hell lot of people under me. Clicked on every damn ad link they had from work and home. When my funds reached a little over $40 I requested my money to be deposited to my Paypal account and they never did. So stay away from it. It's just a waste of time.

I should've instead spent that time updating this blog. I'll do it often now. My day job has been keeping me extremely busy. Also I have been actively advertising my domains to find a buyer.

That's all folks. Have a wonderful Xmas, Hanukkah and new year.
Peace!

Pay2Surf.net

As you all know Adnets is all about making money. I try my best to inform Adnets readers about making ways of money online. I understand that there's an abundance of sites, blogs and forums on the internet and it's pretty hard for some of us to advertise sites and earn money from Adsense, Adbrite or any other Ad revenue sites.
There are a few other ways, though. Like Pay2Surf.net that allows to you earn money by clicking ads. Registration is FREE. All you need to do is click ads and view the ads(or just leave the damn window open for 20 secs. and continue to do your work :) ). When I registered a few days ago they were offering a floating pay rate of 8 cents but they increased it just yesterday to 12 cents and that's cool. It means more money. As of right now I have $11.33 in my account. I earned that just in 4 days. Pay2Surf.net offers a minimum payout of $40.
Just provide your Paypal email and Pay2Surf.net will deposit money in your PayPal account. It's that easy. I am pretty sure I'll have atleast $40 in my account in a week or two. For most of you it might not be much but it pays my internet bill. To me every penny counts. I'll have ATLEAST $40(or more) a month. That's $480 a year. That means a lot to me.
Make sure you log in to your Pay2Surf.net account several times a day because they put more ads on their site through out the day. You can do it anytime from work, home or school.
OK! DO NOT try to fool them by registering more than one account. They log your IP Address(and other information) at the time of registration and you may loose your account or get banned from the site for good if you do such a thing. One account should be enough, pal.
Oh yeh! One more good thing about Pay2Surf.net is you can earn more by referring people to them. After you register, click on My Account tab and on top you'll see a referral link. Just post that link on your site, blog or forum, email and they'll deposit 20 cents in your Pay2Surf.net account for each referral.
Isn't that cool? I think it's great!
Are you ready? If yes, then click Pay2Surf.net to get started now.

Another Hot Domain Auction at Sedo- Dollars.com

Seems like everyone wants trying to cash in their domain names now. I just saw Dollars.com listed on Sedo auction. Within 3 hours bid has gone up to 250,000 EUR
($400,000). Unbelievable! Man! Dollars.com is definitely going to be sold for over $5Million. Let's keep our eyes on the auction for next 6 days 'til it's over.

Making Money from Affiliate Programs

You may not always earn enough bucks from Adsense/Adbrite or any other ad-revenue program. It's always good to have affiliate links on your blogs/sites to earn extra moola. Affiliate programs were introduced way before Adsense came into existence and all the big companies like Amazon, eBay and Buy.com share revenues with site/blog publishers thru these programs. Amazon.com has the best affiliate program. It's easy to create and customize links and banners and commisions are higher than other affiliate programs. Amazon offers plenty of product/service categories to choose from.
I strongly recommend LinkShare if you want to sign up for multiple affiliate programs. LinkShare works with thousands of adverstisers that offer affiliate programs. I am going to place some travel related links on one of my ASIA domains and I just signed up for LinkShare. It's easy to manage all the affiliate programs thru LinkShare. LinkShare offers the latest tools and technology to keep track of all your affiliate earnings from one portal. You can sign up for as many affiliate programs as you want thru LinkShare and manage them all easily.
Most affiliate programs pay upto 60% of each sale and they are free to join. So, if you have a little extra space on your site then think about placing affiliate ads. Those might just bring in big bucks for you. Rememeber, diversifying your revenue streams brings in big revenues. You've got nothing to loose anyway. So, give it a try and all the best. :)
Happy Monday! :)

Pizza.com Sold for $2.5 Million

I visit Sedo.com everyday to check out their daily domain sales and auctions and my eyes couldn't believe the bid going up from $100 to half a million dollars in a day for PIZZA.COM. Yeh! Pizza.com sold for $2.5M. Chris Clark registered the domain in 1994 for $20 a year. Now that's what I call smart investment. May be he didn't know the actual value of the domain back then but atleast he was smart enough to keep it for 14 years.
He should have set the reserve over $2 Million, though. Because, bidders stopped bidding higher after the reserve had been met. Last two days of the auction(after the reserve was met), I saw an increment of only $300,000. I think Pizza.com could've been sold for more than that. I would say around $4.5- $5 Million easily. Well! He's still luckier than rest. I am not jealous because I'll get that lucky soon, too. Congrats, Mr Chris Clark :)

Dot Asia Domains

In my previous post I mentioned that I registered a few good .asia domains. Anyone can register .asia domains as long as there is one contact listed on their .asia registrations. I registered my domains thru DomainMonster and they take care of that part for FREE. That means they fill in the Asia-Pacific address for you in your registrations. You'll still be listed as the main domain owner but DomainMonster fills in the technical support information(New Zealand) address for you. That means that you don't have to be a resident of Asia-Pacific region. You should grab good .asia domains while they are still available. I emailed DomainMonster after registration was done to find out if they will keep that info on my registrations for as long as I own those domains. Their service is really good. I emailed them 3 am EST and received a reply back in 4 hours. Well! They said that as long as I keep my domains with DomainMonster the Asia-Pacific info will stay on my .asia domain records. That really made me happy. :) I would strongly recommend DomainMonster for any kind of domain registrations. I've not tried their hosting packages because I use DreamHost for my hosting needs and they are one of the best in hosting.

Domain Name Registration
Domain Name Registration

I hope to earn big bucks(not millions but somewhere in thousands) from my .asia domains. Just have to wait for the 60 day period to be over. I'll work on increasing domains' PRs in the mean time.
I feel so good shring all this information with you guys right now. Feel free to post comments if you have any questions or comments about anything.
Adios! :)

I am back! FINALLY!

It has been a longggggggggggggg time. Yes! You can kick my butt for that. :) I apologize. There has been a lot going on in my life. Good and bad things have been keeping me busy. My Google Adsense account was cancelled just because some stupid person kept clicking on ads on my sites. Grrrr... Why would you do such a thing to me? I lost all my earnings(little over $200 :[ ) for last month. Anyways! I found an alternative to Adsense and that's called Adbrite. I've not integrated Adbrite on all my sites yet but I'm working on it slowly.
Well! Well! Well! One of the good news is that I registered 16 GOOD :) .asia domains last night. I can't wait until I sell them all and make some extra bucks. I registered a mix of technology, education and travel related domains. They are all currently parked with Sedo. I can't sell those domains until the 60 day period is over. In the mean time, I'll work on increasing the PR of those domains
My nose is itchy and eyes are watery because of allergies. It sucks! Life is miserable. I can't stare at the display for too long.
I received my first WidgetBucks check recently. It wasn't a big check($80) but it's better than losing adsense earnings and account. Dude! If you are reading this blog then let me tell you this. Whatever you did to me wasn't right. I hope that no one ever does that to you. See! I'm still being nice to you. There were constant clicks on my ads and that's what caused the account cancellation. :( I still can't get over it. :(

Earn Extra Bucks from Firefox Referrals

Wow! I have been using Firefox for a few weeks now and I'm hooked on it. It's faster... way faster than IE. It has the same look and feel as IE but it's definitely better than IE. I tried Apple's Safari and it was cool but I found it difficult to navigate thru the menus and options. FireFox is avaialable for Windows, Linux and Macs. It has built-in security features for secure browsing. Whether it's annoying pop-ups or weird phishing activities, FireFox will take care of it. I would strongly recommend you to read the CNET Reviews before you download Mozilla Firefox.

Ok! Here's the fun part. You can actually add cute colorful Firefox referral buttons to your blogs/sites and earn $1 everytime someone downloads Firefox thru your referral link. I've already integrated Firefox referral links on my sites and blogs and earned $4. That isn't too bad, though. It's not easy to earn money from Firefox referrals. You have to persuade your blogs/sites visitors to download Firefox. It's not just Firefox your visitors download that makes you earn some extra bucks. It's actually the Google Toolbar that is pre-installed with Firefox. Makes sense? That's what Google is paying us for. All you need to do is add referral links, write briefly about Firefox and you're done. Don't forget to add CNET reveiws like I did in this post to your blog/site posts. It just adds a little more credibility to your blog/site content. I can't wait to get my adsense check. Oh yeh! WidgetBucks check is coming soon, too. Yay! I am excited.

Make Bucks with WidgetBucks

I apologize for the late blog post. I've been super busy. This post is about WidgetBucks. I put WidgetBucks widget on Adnets and earned 21 cents in first ten minutes. No, I didn't click any of the ads myself. :) Yeh! It was one of my blog visitors that was interested in buying some tech stuff featured on that cute widget you see on the Adnets blog. WidgetBucks will actually terminate your account if they see any of those fishy activities. Onething I really like about WidgetBucks is its simplicity. It is similar to Adsense but instead of text-based ads you get to display neat widgets that show image ads with brief information about the product.WidgetBucks lets you customize your widget colors, sizes and categories or you can use MerchSense that is a contextual algorithm engine that shows ads relevent to your site- content. Yes! You can run WidgetBucks with Adsense or any other ad programs and you can put UNLIMITED widgets on your site or blog. There's no limit at all. But I wouldn't go crazy putting widgets all over my blogs because it would annoy the visitors.WidgetBucks has an excellent referral program. You earn 5 percent from the referred person's commision. I've not earned any referral money yet but it would be sweet if anyone of my blog visitors clicked the highlighted WidgetBucks link or the widget located right below the blog archive. You get paid monthly and minimum account payout limit is $50. I need another 10 bucks to get my first WidgetBucks check. Hopefully soon! :>) You really need to give it a try. It is worth it. I'll post my future WidgetBucks earnings soon. So, please go ahead and sign up for WidgetBucks now. Feel free to email me or post comments if you have any questions.

Integrating Adsense Ads on MS Office Live Web sites

Figure 1
For those who don't know, MS Office Live(OL) is a product offered by Microsoft that lets you register a domain name, design and host the Web site. MS OL Basics is available for free. I've been using OL Basics since November '06 and it has been really great experience. No, it is not like geocities where you'll get a domain like syedahmed.geocities.com. You can have your own top level domain and the best thing about this is that it is Ad-free meaning that Microsoft wouldn't pollute your site with their ads. All you'll see is a cute little MS Office Live logo at the bottom right corner of the page and that doesn't really bother me. Check out my Web site, www.syedahmed.com. For my senior year project at DeVry, I had a client(school) that couldn't afford to own a Web site and guess what I suggested? MS Office Live Basics. I designed the whole site for them in about a week.
With OL Basics you get 25 email accounts(5GB/email account), 500MB disk space, 10GB bandwidth, unlimited Web site reports and easy to use site designing tools. And I mean easy, real easy to design the site and get it up and running. You don't need to know html and stuff.

Ok! Here is the issue I had to tackle with. Putting Adsense ads on my OL Web site. Yes! I used Google to find the solution and there were a plenty but imagine spending hours to put a few adsense ads on just one site. Yes! I own a several OL sites in addition to other sites and blogs. ;) So, I found a quick and easy way to put ads on my OL sites. You can use this technique to put anything on your OL site. For example, Digg widgets, RSS Feeds, Web site shots and etc.

I found IFRAME script that lets you add ads to your OL site EASILY. I wouldn't really go in detail to tell you how IFRAME works but it works. Take a look at Figure 1 above. Now just follow the steps below to put ads on your OL site:
  1. Copy and paste the Adsense code in a Notepad document and save the document in HTML format, i.e. ".htm" or ".html".
  2. Upload the document in the Document Gallery.
  3. In the Design Mode choose the zone where you want to display ads.
  4. Click on Module tab and select HTML. A window will popup.
  5. In the HTML window insert the IFRAME code from Figure 1 above.
  6. Replace "PageToBeShown.htm" by the address of the HTML file you uploaded in the document gallery. To find the file's path, right click on the right click on the HTML file in the Document Gallery and select Properties. A window will popup with the file's URL address on it. It'll be something like this, "http://syedahmed.com/Documents/AdsenseUnit_Med_Rect.htm".
  7. Click on OK on the HTML window.
  8. Save your Web page and Click on View.

I find it the simplest and quickest way to put Adsense ads on my OL site. You can use the same method to add news feeds, widgets and etc. to your OL Web site. I'm pretty sure most of you will be able to do it in the first attempt but if you have any questions or need any help or have better idea to integrate Adsense(or anything else) on your OL site then feel free to discuss here.

This blog isn't going to be limited to MS Office Live and Adsense. In the future posts I'll show you how to optimize your blogs and sites for search engines to get more traffic.

Have a wonderful weekend :)

Make Money with Syed Ahmed

Welcome to Adnets! Got a Web site? Blog? Forum? I can show you how to monetize your sites, blogs or forums? I started a few Web sites and integarted Adsense, an ad- revenue program by Google that lets you add ads to your sites and pays you everytime your site visitors click on those ads. In the beginning, I didn't really make much money from adsense becauase I did not update my sites and blogs often. Only way to get repeat visitors on your blogs is to update it frequently. High-traffic= More Clicks= High-revenue.
Google's Adsense isn't the only ad-revenue program to benefit from. There are several other ad-revenue progarms offered by other companies that pay well, too. I'll be sharing that information with you in future blog posts. I'll also be writing an e-book that will be a comprehensive guide on monetizing your blogs. I'll try my best to update this blog daily but I have a fulltime job. I promise that I'll make posts atleast 3 days a week. Once the e-book is completed I'll add the link to it on this blog. Until the next post, feel free to ask any questions here.
Happy Blogging :)
